Welcome! Here is some information about my practice that might help to inform your decision,
Who I work with:
While my professional expertise and lived experience pertain to alternative communities associated with non-monogamy/polyamory, kink/BDSM, LGBTQIA+, and sex work, I also work with those addressing issues related to the following:
Trauma, CPTSD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, neurodivergence, codependency, attachment, growth/fixed mindset, gender & sexual identity, divorce/separation, relational challenges (affair resolution, sexual difficulties, life trajectory changes, etc).
My approach:
I know firsthand how challenging it can be to find a therapist who feels like the right fit. Here is a bit of information about me, to help inform your decision.
My therapeutic style is client centered and fluid due to my firm belief that therapy is not a one size fits all process.
I use an integrative, holistic approach that combines different evidence-based modalities. I tend to pull from psychoanalysis, attachment theory, internal family systems, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness.
I am oftentimes referred to as a "tough love therapist" by my clients due to my direct, yet nurturing approach.
While boundaries are crucial in maintaining a healthy relationship between clinician and client, I do not ascribe to traditional power dynamics associated with clinical psychotherapy. While I am knowledgeable in areas associated with psychotherapy and the communities I serve, you are the expert of your own experience, and I believe you have just as much, if not more, to contribute.
I oftentimes offer “homework” to encourage accountability and self-reflection outside of our therapy time.

Hi, I'm Ty! I am a queer, non-binary/ transmasculine individual of Caribbean descent. Through personal experience, as well as supporting some amazing humans over the years, I understand that our lives can be layered and complex. Though this may create challenges, we have the opportunity to explore ourselves and our nuances with curiosity, grace and understanding.
I am of the belief that through the intentional pursuit of self understanding, community connection and joyful experience, we have the power to shape our lives so that we may experience true alignment. My work integrates a blended theoretical approach that is strengths based, trauma-informed and QTBIPOC-affirming. No matter one's identity or experience, we will co-create an environment where you feel safe, seen, heard, and held. I strive to give individualized care to both adolescents and adults along a journey that brings us all closer to healing.

Hi! My name is Kristen. I have spent significant time in therapy spaces as both a client and a provider.
I understand first hand how daunting it can feel to begin therapy, especially when healing seems out of reach. I value the inherent dignity of each human being and do not prescribe to normative expectations around identity, particularly gender roles and sexuality.
I have experience working with both adult and adolescent individuals, specifically regarding the following issues: anxiety, depression, trauma (including physical and sexual abuse), grief, relationships, exploring gender & sexual identity, and deconstructing oppressive identities (such as Whiteness). My therapeutic style is person-centered, trauma-informed and tailored to each individual’s strengths. I am open to a variety of therapeutic modalities but tend to draw on cognitive behavioral techniques and internal family systems therapy.
I strive to provide each client with “a soft place to land”, where healing is possible with the help of compassion and honesty. I look forward to getting to know you.

Hi, I am Briana, and I look forward to the chance to work with you. I have worked with the queer and trans communities for over 15 years in community organizing, education, and therapeutic capacities.
As a bisexual, chronically ill, white-passing Latina, I believe in creating healing spaces where folks who have had to fracture themselves to fit in, can bring their whole selves and learn how to live in their unapologetic truths.
I obtained my master's in social work in 2019, where I focused on the impact that macro and micro level oppressions have on non-monosexual clients. Since then, my time in the social work field has been dedicated to supporting LGBTQ folks navigate difficult transitions in their life: separating from the military, entering college, exploring non-monogamy, navigating houselessness, and affirming their gender identities, to name a few.
I have worked with young adults and older adults living with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and who were parentified as children.
In my sessions, I strive to create an environment where my clients can bring both the visible and invisible identities they hold into the session, and we can examine the impact they have had on their experiences.
I am person-centered in my approach, meaning I tailor my interventions to what the client needs (drawing upon psychodynamic, tf-CBT, narrative, and ACT) and filter it through a BIPOC-affirming lens. I reject the notion that I as the clinician am the expert in your life and aim to position myself next to you as you reauthor your narrative.
